INFO: Pier 24 Gallery

Pier 24 is another photography gallery to visit in San Francisco. This one is by appointment only, but it looks like a terrific place to check out in the future.

INFO: Photo Galleries Near San Francisco's Union Square

One of my favorite photo galleries near Union Square in San Francisco is Fraenkel Gallery. They typically show work of international stature.

There are a couple of other great photo galleries in the same building: Stephen Wirtz, Robert Koch and ModernBook.

Only a few blocks away, Gallery 291 at 291 Geary is also worth a visit.

We visited Modernbook Gallery in Palo Alto today. What made the biggest impression on you and why? Did you see any specific artist's work that inspired you to try something new? What was it?
