EXAMPLE: Timelapse Video and Slow Shutter

Timelapse Montage from Mike Flores on Vimeo.

Check out the above link. I thought it was pretty epic and amazing. Kind of makes me want to do some more light painting, or long exposure stuff in general. Maybe try out moth trails?

We have some neutral density filters for the digital SLRs which block out quite a bit of light. Meaning that you could use them to get much longer exposures when shooting during daylight hours. So, for example, you could blur the movement of people on the quad over a few minutes of time.

I loved the stars in the timelapse video. I also loved the timelapse stopmotion-y of the truck with people- it looked a little bit like a film clip speeded up. But with photography, he had more control over the shots. Thanks for posting!

I think the moth trails are simple, fascinating and beautiful all at the same time.
